According to Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, in the first 9 months of 2022, the province's economy achieved many important achievements. Notably, for the first time, Nghe An province entered the TOP 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in the country, with the total newly and additionally adjusted capital reaching 605.42 million USD; the growth rate of gross domestic product was estimated at 9.23%, ranked 2nd in the North Central region and 29th out of 63 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government.

Nghe An province has granted (approval of investment policy/IRC) 83 new projects and adjusted 83 projects; the total newly adjusted capital is 32,058.9 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2021, the total newly adjusted capital increased by 41.22%. After the first 3 quarters of the 2022, there were about 2,330 newly established enterprises in Nghe An, up 26.2% over the same period last year and 713 enterprises registered to operate again, up 16.3%. Along with that, Nghe An province also had 126 dissolved enterprises, an increase of 13 ones compared to the same period in 2021.

Currently, many key projects (such as coastal roads; upgrading and expanding National Highway 15A; Muong Xen - Ta Do - Khe Kien road; North-South expressway,... ) were focused to speed up the implementation progress and to promote the disbursement of public investment capital, actively implementing and completing documents and procedures for projects as well as assigning plans for the period 2021-2025 and 2022 for 3 National Target Programs.
