On behalf of the leader of Can Tho province, Mr. Tran Quoc Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee thanked and expressed his joy to welcome Ms. Marie C. Damour, Consul General US shop in Ho Chi Minh City to visit and work. Secretary Tran Quoc Trung congratulated the delegations visit to Can Tho city successfully and  successfully. At the meeting, Secretary Tran Quoc Trung discussed with the Consulate General about the situation of economic cooperation between Vietnam and the US over the past time and the development orientation of Can Tho city in the coming time as well as share the challenges of climate change affecting Can Tho and the Mekong Delta. He emphasized that: “The cooperative relationship between the United States and Vietnam gradually steps up to new heights and achieves greater efficiency; Especially, the twinning relationship between Can Tho City and Riverside City - the United States has become more and more in depth and has been effective, contributing to the development of the two cities. Regarding the operation of US investors in Can Tho City, Mr. Trung said that there are currently 03 US invested projects in operation. Regarding the activities of US non-governmental organizations, there are many activities in areas such as health, education and social security. He hoped that, through the meeting, Ms. Marie C. Damour, as the Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City, will contribute to developing and tightening the relationship between Vietnam and the United States. such as between Can Tho city and US cities. Ms. Marie C.
