KEY POWER PROJECTS, PRIORITY INVESTMENTS IN NINH THUAN PROVINCE UNTIL 2030

The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan Province has issued the Implementation Plan for the Master Plan, the National Power Development Plan for the province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision extending to 2050 to increase the province's total power capacity by 3,000 MW by 2025, reaching an accumulated capacity of 6,500 MW, and to add 5,300 MW by 2030, bringing Ninh Thuan's total power capacity to 11,800 MW.

Accordingly, the key power projects, and investment priorities in the province until 2030 include 1 Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power project with a total capacity of 1,500 MW (the Ca Na LNG Project), 2 pumped storage hydropower projects with a total capacity of 2,400 MW (Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower Plant Project, Phuoc Hoa Pumped Storage Hydropower Project Plant, each with a capacity of 1,200 MW).

To implement the plan, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan Province is taking measures such as expediting the selection of investors for the Ca Na LNG Project; approving the list of power projects to promote and attract investment; and enhancing the attraction of large-capacity power-consuming projects and the development of new energy sources.
