On March 29, 2023, the delegation of the Thai Investment Promotion Office in Hanoi and Thai businesses paid a visit to the Hi-Tech Park and industrial parks of Danang City (Vietnam) in order to study about their investment environment.
The delegation included members of the Thai Investment Committee, the Thai Investment Promotion Office in Hanoi and about 30 delegates from 15 Thai enterprises operating in many fields such as manufacturing and processing, logistics, biotechnology, food processing.
The delegation were welcomed by the representative of leaders of the Management Board of Da Nang Hi-tech Parks and Industrial Parks - Mr. Nguyen Cong Tien, Deputy Head of the Management Board. He introduced the Hi-Tech Park, the Concentrated Information Technology Park and industrial parks in Danang City, as well as the plan and orientation to attract industries in which information technology is one of the priority areas for the Hi-Tech Park. At the same time, he provided information about special preferential policies for projects of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park in terms of land rent exemption and reduction, corporate income tax, import and export tax and other investment support. The Management Board will always pay attention to and create the most favorable conditions for investors in exploring investment cooperation opportunities in Da Nang’s Hi-Tech Park.
Mr. Idsara Amornkitbamrung, Director of the Regional Economic and Investment Center - Investment Commission of Thailand, on behalf of the delegation, expressed his sincere thanks for the enthusiastic reception of the Management Board of the High-Technology Park and Da Nang industrial zones. On the side of the Thai Investment Committee, the Thai Investment Promotion Office in Hanoi and Thai businesses attending the meeting will study the cooperation and investment plans for suitable projects in Da Nang City, promote industrial and high-tech development, as well as contribute to the city's socio-economic growth in the coming time.
At the end of the meeting, leaders of the Board of Management on the Danang side shared the demand of investment attraction of high-tech parks, concentrated information technology parks and Da Nang industrial parks for potential markets such as Thailand, at the same time, expressed wishes for more activities between the two sides. Hopefully in the coming time, the Thai Investment Promotion Office in Hanoi will be a bridge to support Da Nang to connect with Thai businesses and will welcome many businesses that decide to invest in the city.
