The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province has recently launched a bilateral cooperation plan with Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, for the 2025-2029 period. The plan focuses on attracting investment into high-tech and high-quality service sectors, while simultaneously enhancing trade and tourism promotion.
During the 2025-2029 period, Khanh Hoa will specifically prioritize attracting investment capital from Hiroshima Prefecture into key, high-value-added sectors:
• Industry: High-tech industry, processing industry, clean energy, and information technology. The province also aims to connect businesses from both sides to promote the supporting industry sector.
• Services:
o Healthcare and Elderly Care: Elderly healthcare, high-tech medical services (such as stem cell therapy).
o Logistics and Seaport: Logistics services and seaport logistics services.
o Trade: Attracting investment for the construction of large commercial centers.
Khanh Hoa Province is committed to providing comprehensive information on key investment projects, relevant legal documents, as well as specific cooperation and support mechanisms and policies for investors and organizations from Hiroshima Prefecture.
• Khanh Hoa will lead or coordinate trade promotion activities in line with national and provincial programs.
• Disseminate information about the Japanese market, trade promotion programs, and especially the rules of origin criteria for exported goods under Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to which both Vietnam and Japan are members, thereby boosting export activities.
• Market Research: Deepen research into the Japanese tourism market to develop attractive and suitable tourism products.
• Promotion: Diversify promotional methods through Japanese-language publications, tourism magazines, and websites.
• Networking: Coordinate the organization of survey delegations (Famtrip, Presstrip, Media Trip) from Hiroshima Prefecture to explore tourism products and services in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa.
• Direct Flights: Research the possibility of launching a direct flight route connecting Cam Ranh International Airport and Hiroshima Prefecture.
In addition to economic sectors, the two localities will strengthen cooperation in the following areas:
• Human Resources, Education, and Training: Enhancing the quality of human resources to support economic development.
• Cultural and Sports Exchange: Fostering mutual understanding and strengthening ties between the people of the two localities.
This cooperation plan is expected to deepen the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, bringing practical results for the development of Khanh Hoa.
