The Management Board of Ha Tinh Provincial Economic Zone has just granted an Investment Registration Certificate to the Ha Tinh - Vietnam Steel Processing Plant Project, invested by Kuntuo International SGP PTE.LTD (Singapore). The project has a total capital of nearly 184 billion VND, contributing to increasing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) attraction into the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
The granting of the investment certificate took place while Ha Tinh was solemnly organizing the Provincial Party Congress (from September 30 to October 2, 2025).
Details of the Ha Tinh - Vietnam Steel Processing Plant Project:
• Investor: Kuntuo International SGP PTE.LTD (Singapore).
• Objective: Processing hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and galvanized steel coils by slitting and cut-to-length methods.
• Total Investment Capital: Nearly 184 billion VND (approximately 7.37 million USD).
• Location: Lot E7+E8 (CN4), Phu Vinh Industrial Park, Hoanh Son Ward, Ha Tinh Province (within Vung Ang Economic Zone), with an area of 40,000 m2.
• Production Scale: Construction and installation of a cold-rolled steel coil processing line with a capacity of 150,000 tons/year.
• Products: Galvanized steel coils, galvanized steel sheets; hot-rolled/cold-rolled steel coils, hot-rolled/cold-rolled steel sheets.
Investment Attraction Status in Vung Ang Economic Zone:
As of September 2025, the Vung Ang Economic Zone has attracted a total of 156 investment projects, including:
• 56 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 16 billion USD.
• 100 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of 85,054 billion VND.
The Vung Ang Economic Zone is a hub for many high-tech industrial and large-capital projects, such as: VinFast Electric Automobile Manufacturing Plant (7,300 billion VND); Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project (over 13,276 billion VND); Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant Project (2.2 billion USD).
During the 2021-2025 period, the total state budget revenue in the Vung Ang Economic Zone is estimated to reach 48,500 billion VND, accounting for over 56% of the province's total budget revenue, with export turnover estimated at over 25.1 billion USD.
