DA NANG URGES IMMEDIATE INVESTMENT IN FIVE SITES WITHIN THE FREE TRADE ZONE

The Chairman of Da Nang City has directed relevant agencies to promptly begin investment activities at five designated sites within the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, aiming to put these areas into operation as soon as possible.

According to Plan No. 07/KH-UBND on the implementation of the Decision establishing the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, has requested all relevant departments and agencies to complete necessary procedures and propose new investment incentives by the end of 2025 — extending beyond those provided under Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15.

Mr. Triet emphasised the need to adjust land-use and construction planning at multiple levels, ensure compliance with current regulations, and expedite the completion of land procedures within the boundaries of the Free Trade Zone. He also stressed that five “ready-to-deploy” sites must be prioritised for immediate implementation.
Five Priority Sites
1. Site 2 – part of Lien Chieu Industrial Park, Hai Van Ward, covering 77 hectares
2. Site 3 – located in Hai Van Ward, covering 500 hectares
3. Site 5 – in Ba Na Commune, within the Ba Na–Suoi Mo tourism complex, covering 90 hectares
4. Site 6 – in Ba Na Commune, within the Slope Urban Subzone, covering 154 hectares
5. Site 7 – in Ba Na and Hoa Vang communes, covering 401 hectares
In addition, the city leader instructed relevant departments to prepare land clearance plans for Site 1 and Site 4, especially in densely populated areas.
Support Policies and Implementation Mechanisms
Da Nang has assigned relevant agencies to develop support policies for investors, including assistance with land clearance costs (particularly in populated areas) and investment in technical and social infrastructure within the Free Trade Zone.
The city will also establish criteria for selecting strategic and secondary investors, carry out investment promotion and connection activities between the Free Trade Zone and the Da Nang International Financial Centre, and propose medium-term public investment funding for infrastructure development within the zone.
To ensure smooth implementation, the city has restructured the Task Force for the Establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone:
• Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, serves as Head of the Task Force.
• Vice Chairman, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, serves as Standing Deputy Head.
• Members include leaders from the Management Board of High-Tech and Industrial Zones, the Department of Industry and Trade, and Customs Department Region XII, among others.
The Task Force is responsible for advising the City People’s Committee on the organisation and implementation of all activities related to the formation and development of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.
