BOEING WISHES TO PROMOTE INVESTMENT IN VIETNAM IN 2025

According to a Boeing representative, Vietnam's economy has great growth prospects in 2025, creating many favorable conditions for plans to strengthen cooperation and expand business.

This is the opinion of Mr. Michael Nguyen – CEO of Boeing Vietnam. Mr. Michael Nguyen expressed optimism about Vietnam's economic prospects and wished to contribute to the country's success. According to him, 2025 is an important year with many milestones, marking the 30th anniversary of normalization of relations and cooperation between Vietnam and the United States. This is also the second year of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Boeing and other US companies expect many opportunities to cooperate with Vietnam, contributing to supporting economic development, civil aviation and defense.

Boeing's commitment to Vietnam has been clearly demonstrated with the establishment of an office in 2021. With the strong support from the US Government, Boeing is confident in expanding its scale in Vietnam and hopes to see more opportunities and potential from Vietnam to strengthen trade relations with the US, develop the aviation supply chain, support capacity building and promote the aerospace industry. Recently, Boeing has completed the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) research project in Southeast Asia.

This is an important step towards a sustainable aviation future in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam. The project conducts a techno-economic assessment in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The assessment focuses on the availability of raw materials, technology roadmap, carbon intensity, logistics, environmental and social aspects, institutional framework, as well as financial assessment. Thanks to improved economic viability, SAF production in ASEAN can exceed intra-bloc demand, opening up opportunities for SAF exports within and outside the region.

Accordingly, Boeing assessed that Vietnam has a great advantage in abundant raw materials for SAF in the Mekong Delta, and affirmed that it will work closely with authorities, airlines and manufacturers in Vietnam to develop SAF.

Boeing is committed to cooperating with Vietnam to deploy and develop SAF. This will be a joint effort that requires support from the government and investors, ensuring a green, sustainable and economically efficient transition.
