(i) A labor being a foreign citizen working in Vietnam shall be subject to the compulsory social insurance when he/she has a work permit or a practitioner’s certificate or license issued by a Vietnamese competent authority and has an indefinite employment contract or a definite employment contract with the term of full one year or more with an employer in Vietnam;
(ii) A labor shall not be subject to the compulsory social insurance when he/ she falls under one of the following cases:
a) Moving within the enterprise;
b) Being at the retirement age (over 60 years old for male labor and over 55 years old for female labor)
(iii) Compulsory social insurance regimes include:
- Illness;
- Maternity;
- Occupational accidents and occupational diseases;
- Retirement;
- Death .
