Phu Yen: Projects of wind power attracts Japanese investors

In late November, 2019 the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee has received a delegation from the Vietnam Business Association in Japan and Hitachi Solution Company. The meeting took place at the People's Committee of Phu Yen province where both sides have discussed the possibility of cooperation on the development of the renewable energy projects in the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Huu The, Vice Chairman of People's Committee welcomed Japanese investors who were interested in investing in the development of renewable energy, especially the proposal for investing in wind power projects in Phu Yen province. Provincial leader introduced the strength and the potential of the province, meanwhile, the representatives of local administrative departments provided specific information about locations with good wind conditions to the members of the delegation.  They also explained the investment procedures and introduced the preferential policies for foreign investment in this field. The local authorities pointed out certain difficulties when investing in wind power projects which helps investors to understand the opportunities and challenges in investing in renewable energy projects in Phu Yen.
Currently, there are many areas in province with potentials for wind power development, gathered in the districts of Tuy An, Dong Xuan, Son Hoa, Song Cau, Song Hinh towns. Up to now, there have been two wind power projects has been added to the plan and attracts lots of investors to research, survey and invest in this field.
Hitachi Solution is a member of Hitachi Group - one of the leading corporations in Japan, operating in the fields of electricity, electronics, technology, ... Through the connection of Vietnam Business Association in Japan, Hitachi Solution company is considering to invest in Vietnam, in general and in Phu Yen province, in particular. The company is one of the enterprises expressed the wish to invest in wind power projects in Phu Yen province after surveying the province's potentials and strengths.
