Dong Thap province calls for investment in developing rural electricity grids in the province

On the morning of November 28, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia and leaders of provincial departments and branches met and worked with the Southern Power Corporation on grid investment in the province.
In Dong Thap province, there are still about 13,000 households using electricity without ensuring safety according to rural electricity criteria. The total investment capital for the grid is quite large and to ensure the aforementioned number of households using the electricity safely as well as fulfilling the new rural criterion No. 4 in electricity, the representative representative of the Southern Power Corporation and Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee agreed to provide reciprocal capital to implement this content.
Southern Power Corporation requests the provincial People's Committee to consider and agree for Dong Thap Electricity Company to borrow VND 60 billion (in 2020) from the provincial Development Investment Fund to invest in road stations. 110 kV (installing 2 stations of 110 kV stations: An Long, Song Hau and Nha Man) and renovating and developing power grids in the province.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia proposed the Southern Power Corporation to contact the Provincial Development Investment Fund for guidance on loan procedures.
Regarding the investment in electricity supply for irrigation pumping stations in the province, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the province Pham Thien Nghia directed the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Industry and Trade to review urgent pumping stations to upgrade, invest; advise the provincial People's Committee to propose the Government to support investment capital.
