The goal is tocreate a "full-package" logistics solution that reducesadministrative friction for exporters and importers.
Akey priority of the deal is the establishment of specialized logistics centers.These hubs will specifically target the export of machinery and equipment andthe import of agricultural products, supporting industrialization andhigh-quality economic development in both regions.
The"Two Ports, One Route" Strategy
Mr.Vo Quoc Huy, Chairman of Long An International Port, highlighted the strategicsignificance of the deal.
"Thiscollaboration creates a direct maritime transport corridor under the 'TwoPorts, One Route' model," Mr. Huy stated. "It establishes a directlink connecting the industrial heartland of Northern China with the keyeconomic zones of Southern Vietnam."
By optimizing two-way cargo exploitation, this alliance is expected to significantly enhance bilateral trade efficiency between the two nations.
The Power Players
The agreement brings together three complementary forces in the logistics sector:
- Long An International Port (Vietnam): Situated at the gateway to the Southern Key Economic Region, the port is a critical logistics node capable of handling vessels up to 70,000 DWT.
- SPG Bohaiwan Port (China): A major port cluster located in the center of the Shandong Peninsula—a key industrial and logistics hub in Northern China with strong connectivity to surrounding coastal economic zones.
- Bohwa Shipping (Singapore): Serving as the transport backbone, Bohwa brings a modern fleet and a global supply chain network to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of cargo.
This cooperation is viewed as a strategic step forward, solidifying Long An International Port’s position in the global maritime supply chain and elevating Vietnam's logistics profile in the region.
