The Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision approving the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the Dak Doa Industrial Park, located in KDang commune, Dak Doa district.
According to the plan, the Dak Doa Industrial Park covers approximately 204 hectares. Of this, over 131 hectares are allocated for industrial production and warehousing; nearly 12 hectares are specifically designated for high-tech enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, and innovative startups. In addition, approximately 30 hectares are allocated for internal transportation systems and over 27 hectares for green spaces and landscaping.
In terms of spatial organization, the industrial park is planned into three main functional zones: an administration-management-service zone; a production zone for small businesses and startup projects; and a production zone for large-scale enterprises. The central area of the project is designed with a regulating lake park, connecting to three green parks located at the edges of the industrial park, creating a highlight in terms of landscape and environment.
The Dak Doa Industrial Park is oriented to attract multi-sector manufacturing industries, prioritizing processing and manufacturing industries such as food processing; production and processing of products from wood, bamboo, and rattan; production of products from straw and woven materials; production of rubber products; as well as production of specialized machinery and equipment.
Regarding technical infrastructure, the industrial park plans to build a new Dak Doa Water Treatment Plant with a capacity of approximately 3,000 m³/day. A 110/22kV transformer substation with a minimum capacity of 40 MVA will meet the projected electricity demand of approximately 37 MW; simultaneously, a centralized wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of approximately 3,000 m³/day will be invested in.
Previously, at the end of January 2026, the Gia Lai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board submitted a proposal to develop a 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the Southwest Pleiku Industrial Park in Ia Hrung commune.
Subsequently, on February 4, 2026, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also approved the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the Canh Vinh Industrial Park (formerly Van Canh Industrial Park). The planning is expected to take 6 months with a total budget of over 4.5 billion VND.
According to the plan, the Canh Vinh Industrial Park in Canh Vinh commune has a planned area of approximately 901.7 hectares (the specific scale will be determined according to the plan approved by the competent authority). Regarding boundaries, the industrial park borders the Canh Hien Industrial Cluster and the Ba Nhon mountain area to the North. To the West, it borders the Canh Hiep Industrial Cluster, Canh Hiep 1 Industrial Cluster, and the western provincial road.
This industrial park is oriented towards multi-sector development, while also aiming to build an ecological industrial park. The project is expected to create additional impetus for socio-economic development of the locality and the surrounding area, contributing to job creation and increasing the value of industrial production.
In addition, at the end of February 2026, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also agreed on the principle of assigning the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to implement the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the Chu Se Industrial Park in Chu Se commune.
