On the morning of March 14th, 2023, in Bac Ninh province, Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce of Laos - Mr. Bountheung Douangsavanh - led the delegation to visit and work at Que Vo 1 Industrial Park, invested by Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation, and Yen Phong Industrial Park, developed by Viglacera Corporation – JSC. Accompanying the delegation were the Economic and Trade Counselor of Laos in Vietnam, representatives of the Leaders of the Industry and Crafts Department and officials from the Laos Ministry of Industry and Trade. On the Vietnamese side, there were representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam and representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, including leaders of the Agency for Regional Industry and Trade, the Asia-Africa Market Department, the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency, and the Ministry Office.

Que Vo 1 IP

Laos delegation visited Que Vo 1 IP in the morning, and was welcomed by Ms. Nguyen My Ngoc - Deputy General Director of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information related to the industrial park, including introducing the industrial park projects of Kinh Bac Corporation, attracting FDI, local investment promotion experiences, as well as the development - management - operation of industrial park and industrial cluster projects. Besides, with the aim and desire to issue decrees and regulations related to the establishment of industrial parks in Laos, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Laos discussed and requested the Vietnamese side to support in legal advice as well as relevant regulations. At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister also shared about potential cooperation and investment opportunities in industrial parks in Laos and wished that the Vietnamese side would invest in industrial parks in Laos in the future with a commitment to incentives and open policies for Vietnamese enterprises.
After the meeting, the representative of Kinh Bac Corporation took the delegation to visit Que Vo Industrial Park and visit the centralized wastewater treatment station of the industrial park. For production wastewater and domestic wastewater, the system will collect and treat wastewater with a capacity of 20.000 m3/day before being discharged into the environment, in strict compliance with regulations on industrial wastewater treatment and environmental protection.

In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos visited and worked at Yen Phong industrial park. Mr. Nguyen Duc Cao - Deputy Head of Industrial Parks Management Board of Bac Ninh province - accompanied the delegation. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung - Director of Viglacera Infrastructure Development Investment Company (belonging to Viglacera Corporation - JSC).

At the meeting, leaders of Bac Ninh Industrial Parks Management Board shared about legal issues and procedures for investment in industrial parks in Viet Nam in general and in Bac Ninh province in particular.
Viglacera's representative also introduced to the delegation about Yen Phong Industrial Park - one of the model industrial zones of the province, and exchanged experiences in investment promotion, attracting businesses to invest in the industrial park, as well as experience in management and operation of the industrial park.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of Laos continued to share opportunities to invest in industrial parks in Laos, investment attraction policies and environment there, and hoped that Viglacera Corporation, with its previous experience in investing in an industrial park in Cuba, would give priority to Laos as the next potential with many incentives to attract investment from the government.

After the meeting, the delegation visited workers' housing and technical infrastructure in Yen Phong IP, especially the wastewater treatment area. There, wastewater after treatment will be treated to meet environmental standards TCVN 5945 - 2005 type A, and flows directly to the lake before being discharged into the area's common drainage system.

At the end of the meeting, the Laos delegation took commemorative photos with the two industrial parks before returning to Ha Noi and continuing their work schedule in Viet Nam.
