Evaluation of investment environment
Da Nang is the 4th largest city in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong in terms of urbanization and socio-economic development. Located on the coast of the East Sea with the mouth of the Han River, Da Nang is one of the port cities with a strategic location in Central Vietnam and one of five cities directly under the Central Government.
Da Nang city is located in central Vietnam with an almost equal distance between the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang is also the center of three world cultural heritages: Hue Ancient Capital, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary. It borders Thua Thien - Hue province to the North, Quang Nam province to the West and South, and the East Sea to the East. Da Nang is located in the middle of the country, on the North-South transport axis in terms of road, railway, sea, air and the end point of the East-West Economic Corridor stretching from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.

Natural resources:

* Soil resources: Da Nang city has different types of soil: sand dunes and coastal sandy soils, saline soils, alkaline soils, alluvial soils, degraded gray soils and gray soils, black soils, red-yellow soils, soils. yellow-red humus... In which, the important group of alluvial soils in the coastal plain is suitable for intensive rice cultivation, growing vegetables and fruits in suburban areas; The red and yellow soil in the hilly areas is suitable for long-term industrial crops, specialty plants, medicinal herbs, livestock raising and has a solid structure that is convenient for the arrangement of technical infrastructure facilities. Among 128,488 hectares, divided by land type, there are: agricultural land: 69,868 hectares (in which, agricultural production land: 6,748 hectares; forestry land with forests: 62,921 hectares); non-agricultural land: 54,673 ha (of which, residential land: 7,308 ha; specialized land: 43,347 ha) and unused land: 3,947 ha.
* Forest resources: The area of forest land in the city accounts for 62,921 hectares, mainly concentrated in the west and northwest of the city, including 3 types of forests: special-use forests: 32,695 hectares; protection forest: 8,566 hectares; production forest: 21,660 hectares. Forests in Da Nang are concentrated mainly in the west wing of Hoa Vang district, a few in Lien Chieu, Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts. The coverage rate is 42.5%, the wood reserve is about 3 million m3 and distributed mainly in places with steep slopes and complex terrain. Da Nang's forests are not only of economic significance, but also of scientific research, ecological environment protection and tourism development. Nature has endowed the city with special nature reserves such as: Ba Na Nature Reserve, Son Tra Nature Reserve and Nam Hai Van Cultural, Historical and Environmental Area.
* Mineral resources: Da Nang is home to large reserves of rock and sand. Granite is available in Non Nuoc, but so far has been banned from mining in order to protect the famous Ngu Hanh Son relic site. Construction stone is the main mineral of the city, concentrated in the West, North and Southwest areas of the city. Slate roofing: concentrated in Pho Nam village, Hoa Bac commune. This is a dark gray filit rock, which can be separated into slabs with the size (0.5 x 10) x 0.3-0.5m, the reserve is about 500,000m3. White sand is concentrated in Nam O with a reserve of about 5 million m3. Construction sand and gravel are found in the riverbeds of Vinh Dien, Tuy Loan, Yen, Cau Do, Cam Le, Cu De, Hoa Bac and Hoa Lien. There are also other types such as clay, with reserves of about 38 million m3; mineral water in Dong Nghe, self-flowing flow is about 72m3/day; especially, the continental shelf has many prospects for oil and gas.

Located in the middle of the country, Da Nang is endowed with a combination of attractive natural resources and rare historical values such as marine resources, forests, landscapes, cultural and artistic heritages. traditions, festivals... One of the great advantages of Da Nang is its 90km long coastline with many fine white sand beaches, mild waves, warm water all year round, not deep and with high safety such as: beaches My Khe (One of the 6 most attractive beaches on the planet voted by Forbes Magazine), Pham Van Dong beach, Non Nuoc beach, etc., combined with other types of marine sports tourism, visiting the Marble Mountains. Hanh Son, handicraft stone village, luxury resorts…
