On December 3, the leaders of Dong Nai province, represented by Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong - Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Cao Tien Dung - Chairman of the provincial People's Committee had a meeting with the Singaporean businesses delegation which were led by Mr. Kho Ngee Seng Roy, Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City. At the meeting, Mr. Kho Ngee Seng Roy expressed the interest of Singaporean businesses in the investment environment as well as the province's policies to attract foreign investment.

Accordingly, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong said that Dong Nai has a developed industry with a very convenient transportation infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for businesses in doing business here. In recent years, about 1,500 foreign businesses from 45 countries and territories have chosen to invest in the province. Currently, Singapore has invested in Dong Nai on 70 projects with a total registered capital of about 3.6 billion USD, ranked 4th among countries and territories investing in the province. Singapore businesses invest in Dong Nai mainly in the field of industry, services, real estate ... According to him, Singapore businesses investing in the province have very positive results. The Consul General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Kho Ngee Seng Roy also shared that through talking with Singaporean businesses that have invested in Dong Nai, he learned that Dong Nai's traditional strength is that the provincial government always pay attention to enterprises and their problems are promptly solved. Among companies that have been investing in the province, Singapore businesses are considered to come here quite early but mainly invest in industry and residential projects. However, more Singaporean businesses will come to Dong Nai province to learn about investment procedures in other areas such as transport infrastructure, services, solar energy and waste treatment. The Consulate will act as a bridge to share the information about Dong Nai so that Singaporean companies can better understand the province to select the field of investment.

Chairman of Dong Nai People's Committee, Mr. Cao Tien Dung added that in addition to the above areas, Dong Nai is calling for foreign companies to invest in treating waste into electricity and treating livestock wastes projects. These are also the strengths of Singaporean businesses, so hopefully in the near future the Consulate General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh Citycan share information and connect Singaporean enterprises operating in this field with the province so that the two sides can proceed to further investment cooperation.
