In 2003, THACO invested in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone. After 16 years of investment and development, THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park now has a total area of more than 1,200 hectares with 35 companies and units including: automobile manufacturing and assembly factories; spare parts factories; mechanical complex; seaport system and forwarding - transportation units; investment companies - construction, agriculture and supporting units, with a total investment capital of over VND 80,500 billion and more than 8,700 employees. Currently, THACO Chu Lai is considered as the largest centralized automotive industry center in the country and one of the top in the ASEAN region.
